After a leisurely sail over to the landing stage on the opposite shore, the first group sat on the grassy bank and tucked into their sandwiches. It was great to watch the Mariners of Bewl (MOB) approach and beach their boats or tie up at the pontoon. The MOB sailors then treated everyone to delicious strawberries, cream and cake. Launching all the boats from a lee shore at the end of the afternoon added to the fun, and the wind freshened for the sail back, giving us an exhilarating beat home.
