At Bewl Water, the Boxing Day Bottle event was hugely enjoyed by everyone with sunny weather perfect for winter sailing.

A brisk west north-westerly wind at about 12 to 15 knots with some strong gusts resulted in good planing reaches, when the hull lifts out of the water, over the figure-of-eight course.

Seasonal refreshments were consumed afterwards, and prizes were awarded to the top three competitors, Martin Brooking, Martin Dennant and Phil Carter-Haines in their Lasers.
